Diploma in Cosmetology
Introduction
Cosmetology is a Diploma program taught at Minnesota State Community and Technical College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (2 years) options.
The Cosmetology Diploma prepares students for salon practice and classroom-based coursework covering skin, hair, and nail services. Students can choose to become a general cosmetologist or specialize in hair care and coloring, perms, makeup applications, facials, and manicures.
Training includes learning for Minnesota State Board of Cosmetology licensure exams, with practice tests and mock skills certifications. Students also practice on actual customers at the in-house student salon on the Wadena campus to earn clinic hours that apply to a licensing requirement.
