Introduction

Art Transfer Pathway is a program taught at Minnesota State Community and Technical College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

The Art Transfer Pathway is an Associate of Fine Arts (AFA) that covers design, painting, drawing, ceramics, mixed media, printmaking, and photography. You develop skills for creating and appreciating visual arts, including documenting and explaining the rationale and research behind your work, and building a body of work that shows artistic scope and variety.

The program is based at the Fergus Falls Campus. It awards 60 credits and is designed to enable transfer into related bachelor’s degree programs at Minnesota State system universities. After completing the AFA, you will be guaranteed junior-year status within your designated bachelor’s degree program, and your 60 credits earned at M State will directly transfer.

You learn through visual arts facilities that include ceramics, painting, drawing and printmaking studios, a traditional darkroom, and the Waage Fine Arts Gallery and the Charles Beck Gallery. The program also includes opportunities to exhibit your work and learn to market and promote your artistic talents.
