Introduction

Associate Degree Nursing is a Bachelor program taught at Minnesota State Community and Technical College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

The Associate Degree Nursing program at Minnesota State Community and Technical College leads to an Associate of Science (AS) and prepares students with no prior nursing experience for registered nursing positions. Students complete coursework and hands-on clinical practice in hospitals, long-term care centers, clinics, and other healthcare facilities. The program prepares graduates to take the National Council Licensing Exam (NCLEX) to become a licensed registered nurse in Minnesota, North Dakota, or South Dakota.

Students learn to make nursing judgments using evidence-based research and clinical reasoning for quality patient care across diverse populations. They also practice team communication, promote quality care and safe environments, participate in quality improvement, and apply legal and ethical principles. The program includes facilities such as a health sciences simulation center and a dental simulation lab, with learning across the Detroit Lakes campus, Fergus Falls campus, Wadena campus, and Moorhead campus.
