Introduction

Environmental Conservation Science is a Bachelor program taught at Muskingum College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

Environmental Conservation Science at Muskingum College is a major designed to prepare students for careers in conservation work focused on preserving populations of animals and plants that are declining or facing extinction. The program uses a multidisciplinary course of study to build a background in physical, biological, and ecological sciences, plus economic, political, social, and ethical issues to support problem solving and decision making.

Students complete a three-semester research experience and training program, along with the summer Muskies Fellow program. The major also includes experiential learning opportunities at the Wilds, North America’s largest conservation facility, and possibilities for internships in research with at-risk species, animal health, and environmental science. Seniors attend the Ohio Academy of Sciences meeting to present their research results, with close support from program advisors.
