MARITIME MANAGEMENT

MARITIME MANAGEMENT is a Bachelor program taught at Nicholls State University, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (four-year management degree) options.

Maritime Management at Nicholls State University is a Bachelor of Science in Management with a Maritime Concentration. It prepares students for a career in management in maritime and maritime-related industries, with particular focus on the oil and gas sector and the requirements of the shipowner and periphery businesses. Students gain exposure to commercial, legal, financial, and other areas unique to the shipping industry.

The Maritime Concentration is part of the four-year management degree, with additional courses designed for firms competing in the maritime industry. Courses include MGNT 330: Introduction to Maritime Management, BSAD 325: Admiralty Law, ECON 330: Economics of Shipping, and SATC 240: Marine Accident Prevention, plus MNGT 469: Internship. The summer internship is developed and approved by the Al Danos College of Business and firms in the industry, with hands-on experience.
