Introduction

Diplomacy & World Affairs is a Bachelor program taught at Occidental College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

The Diplomacy & World Affairs (DWA) program at Occidental College helps you understand international relations and the forces that shape global politics and economics. As a DWA major, you study how states, markets, political movements, and cultural identities shape international relations, with politics and economics integrated into real-world policy analysis. You analyze data and case studies, evaluate competing policy options, and develop communication and leadership skills for concrete global problems.

DWA includes classroom study and real-world experiences. Students may take part in the Kahane United Nations Program in New York, and the Young Initiative for Global Political Economy, which supports internships with diplomatic missions and international organizations working on trade, human rights, security, and development. Faculty mentors and visiting practitioners guide student work, and students build a portfolio of research, internships, and presentations.
