Introduction

Computer Science (A.S.) is a program taught at Pennsylvania Highlands Community College, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

Computer Science (A.S.) builds skills in programming, software engineering, and mathematical reasoning. Students study core concepts in software development processes, computer science and computer architecture, and calculus-level computing concepts, applying these ideas to computing problems.

Students study in person at the Richland Campus in daytime classes with face-to-face instruction and access to on-campus resources. The program has two tracks: the Standard Track focuses on programming, software engineering, object-oriented development, data structures, algorithms, and computer organization and architecture; the Applied Technologies Track includes a semester-long capstone project with hands-on work in areas such as data analysis and visualization, collaborative development workflows, and application connectivity and deployment.
