Action culturelle

Action culturelle is a Bachelor program taught at Southeastern Community College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

The Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Action at Southeastern Community College studies cultural action through four themes: thinking about cultural action; actors and spaces of cultural action; organizing cultural action; and animating cultural action. Students take an introductory set of courses, plus courses on culture, cultural policies and development, cultural action in public space, social movements, and symbolic dimensions of culture.

Course work is organized into sixteen courses (48 credits) across these axes. Students also take project and event-focused courses, including project management theory and practice, delivering an intervention project using new technologies, and organizing cultural events and communication. The program offers the same degree in both full-time and part-time regimes at the Montréal campus.

The minimum requirements for admission in Action culturelle at Southeastern Community College for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Southeastern Community College.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Southeastern Community College as pre-requiste for admission in Action culturelle.
