Introduction

Philosophy is a program taught at Stevens Institute of Technology, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

Stevens Institute of Technology offers a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy through the School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences. The philosophy major blends philosophical reasoning with technological inquiry. Students sharpen critical thinking, ethical analysis, and problem-solving as they explore questions about existence, morality, and knowledge, and how philosophical tools apply to technology and innovation.

The program uses a structured study plan with courses in areas such as social and political philosophy, ethics of business and technology, and global and international ethics. Students complete a Senior Thesis as a piece of original research under a faculty advisor, and HASS thesis writers present findings at the annual Innovation Expo. Stevens also includes internships for practical experience, with examples such as Software Development Intern at Amazon Web Services and Research Intern at Rowan University.
