Introduction

Chemistry is a Bachelor program taught at Trinity College (DC), USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

Chemistry, B.S. at Trinity Washington University is a degree program that explores how chemistry connects physical, life, and applied sciences. Students gain research skills that support advanced study in graduate programs or a focus in a specific area of chemistry. The curriculum also builds analytical, organic, and physical chemistry foundations.

The program emphasizes hands-on laboratory experience in modern facilities and includes work with listed instrumentation: Agilent Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS), Magritek Spinsolve 60 NMR Spectrometer, Nicolete iS FT-IR Spectrometer, and Shimadzu LC- Plus Prominence-i HPLC. All Chemistry students are required to complete internships before graduation, using hands-on placements to build analytical and laboratory skills.

It supports multiple paths after the degree, including graduate school, medical school, or employment in the industrial and non-profit sectors. Internship placements include options such as the Trinity Summer Research Program at Trinity Washington University, the DIVAS Program at American University, and research opportunities at institutions including the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center. Possible career outcomes listed include Chemist/Biochemist, Physician, Pharmacologist, Chemical Engineer, Art Conservation Specialist, Environmental Consultant, Laboratory Technician, and careers in related fields.
