Introduction

Art History, MA is a Masters program taught at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

The Art History, MA is offered cooperatively with the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Students prepare for study at the doctoral level or for a career in an art museum or gallery, among other fields. The program offers two completion plans: a thesis plan and a museum studies plan.

Plan 1 culminates in a written thesis and defense. Plan 2 culminates in a major paper and a capstone presentation based on coursework experiences and a museum internship.
