Advanced Clinical Practitioner Apprenticeship MSc
Introduction
Advanced Clinical Practitioner Apprenticeship MSc is a Masters program taught at University of Texas at Tyler, USA. Intake: September, January. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (3 years) options.
The Advanced Clinical Practitioner Apprenticeship MSc develops knowledge and practice for registered healthcare professionals working as Advanced Clinical Practitioners. It prepares apprentices to meet the apprenticeship End Point Assessment (EPA) and complete the award. The programme supports learning through reflection and practice experience with an experienced mentor, and includes work focused on improving the quality of patient care and health outcomes.
Study is part-time and takes 3 years, with learning applied and assessed in practice as well as through theoretical assessment. The degree is an Integrated Apprenticeship made up of 3 core and 1 optional 30-credit module, a 40-credit final stage work-based project, and a 20-credit End Point Assessment (EPA). It includes a clinical governance focus with patient safety, risk assessment, and risk management.
The apprenticeship is accredited by the NHS Centre for Advancing Practice (CfAP), and graduates are eligible for CfAP digital badges. Completing the full MSc apprenticeship also makes apprentices eligible to apply for the HEE Digital ‘Advanced’ badge, and may support eligibility to work in Band 7 and (depending on experience) Band 8a Agenda for Change roles in England.
