Introduction

Nutrition & Dietetics is a Bachelor program taught at Victor Valley College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

Nutrition and Dietetics is a degree that builds knowledge and skills in nutrition and food. Students develop abilities to communicate, assess, and apply nutritional knowledge in real-world settings through program courses in nutrition and food science. Course examples include Human Nutrition 1 and 2, Principles of Nutritional Assessment, and Food and People.

Learning includes small class sizes and close connections with faculty, with hands-on work alongside faculty in labs, research projects, and community-based learning.

Students can tailor their degree by choosing a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition or a BSc in Nutrition with Honours, along with Biology, Chemistry, or Psychology as a second major and a minor with a Chemistry and Biology minor built into the degree.

There are three study streams: Consumer Food, Kinesiology, or Dietetics. Dietetics students can apply for a 48-week accredited practicum program offered in partnership with Nova Scotia Health, and co-op is available.
