Introduction

Physics is a Bachelor program taught at Victor Valley College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

Physics studies the laws of nature that govern physical phenomena from the smallest to the largest scales. Students work on questions about why and how things work, and they use experiments and theories that work together consistently. The program includes introductory physics with lab and introductory calculus with lab, followed by matrix algebra or linear algebra and additional second-semester courses chosen from listed options.

Delivery includes small classes with faculty and staff support. Students take part in group work, teach in labs or the help centre, make class presentations, and participate in conferences. After the first year, paid positions are available as help centre tutors and lab assistants. After the second and third years, paid summer research projects may be local or at an international research facility such as CERN, and a project may form part of an undergraduate thesis.

The program supports graduate studies and employment through research and communication skills gained during coursework and research. Career options after graduation include computing and technology, dentistry, education, electronics, financial modelling, geophysics, law, medical research, medicine, meteorology, nuclear physics, oceanography, optical physics, optometry, particle physics, and more.
