Bachelor's in Theatre
Introduction
Theatre is a Bachelor program taught at Victor Valley College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.
Acadia University’s Theatre program is a four-year program with two streams of study: performance and production. Students study acting, movement, voice, theatre history, and dramatic literature in the performance stream. The production stream is a multi-disciplinary program focused on backstage elements of theatre.
The program is delivered through academic and studio courses that combine practical and conceptual knowledge. Students work on both sides of the footlights, and they participate in productions staged by the Acadia Theatre Company. The company produces two shows a year and stages a Minifest of original one-act plays each year, with student roles including directing, performing, stage-managing, designing, lighting, and costuming under faculty supervision.
