Introduction

Law (pre-professional) is a program taught at Wabash College, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

Law (pre-professional) at Wabash College is a pre-law pathway built on a liberal arts degree. Students can major in any subject as long as they pursue academic excellence. Wabash courses in political science, rhetoric, philosophy, and other disciplines that incorporate the study of law, law-related materials, and Socratic teaching are used to develop writing, analysis, and critical thinking skills for law.

Students also take part in activities outside the classroom. They can attend an introductory information session at the start of each academic year and confer one-on-one with the Pre-Law Advisor, including during sophomore pre-law interviews. A bootcamp prepares students for the Law School Admission Test, and students may join the annual Moot Court competition, where lawyers tutor oral advocacy and judge preliminary and final rounds with federal and state judges.

The Pre-Law Advisor supports law internship applications and law school selection when students reach that point. Students network with lawyers through the annual Peck Lecture and Dinner, which includes a lecture by an eminent lawyer and dinner with alumni lawyers, and through frequent Pre-Law Society events where attorneys discuss day-to-day legal work.
