Philosophy, Politics, and Economics
Introduction
Philosophy, Politics, and Economics is a Bachelor program taught at Wabash College, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
The Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) major at Wabash College helps students investigate social phenomena that are shared concerns in philosophy, political science, and economics. Students study political economy, the history of political and economic thought, ethics, and political philosophy and theory. The program builds analytical and interpretive resources that students use when forming thoughtful and effective public policy.
PPE combines contributions from each discipline. Philosophy supports clear and creative thinking, ethical reflection, and the ability to question received opinion. Political science uses theoretical and empirical approaches to governing institutions and political relationships. Economics examines incentives, markets, and governments in resource allocation and income distribution. Students use these approaches to analyze social problems and public policy challenges, including rational and public choice theory, political economy, and critical theory.
