Graduate programs include Curriculum and Learning – Early Childhood Education (100% Online), Elementary Education K-6 (MAT) (100% Online), Elementary Education K-6, Alternate Route (MAT) (100% Online), Secondary Education, K-12 (MAT) (100% Online), and Secondary Education, K-12 Alternate Route (MAT) (100% Online). The department also offers graduate certificates including an Early Childhood (P-3 Alternate Route) certificate and English as a Second Language (ESL) Alternate Route certificate, with several options listed as 100% Online.

Clinical field experiences are supported through partnerships with P-12 school districts. The department describes teacher preparation outcomes aligned with InTASC and New Jersey professional standards, including understanding student development, developing learning objectives, using instructional strategies to communicate content, and designing assessments. Graduates work in P-12 schools throughout New Jersey and also in community colleges or four-year colleges and universities.
