International Tuition Fee Scholarships at University of Tartu

The EACH programme offers Erasmus Mundus scholarships, tuition waiver study places, and fee-based study places. Erasmus Mundus scholarships include participation costs of 18,000 EUR per programme (including tuition fee and full insurance) and a monthly allowance of 1,400 EUR for up to 24 months, including allowance for installation, subsistence, travel and visa costs.

Erasmus Mundus scholarships are allocated to best-ranked candidates who applied during admission period 1. Tuition waiver (TW) study places and self-funded study places are offered for the intake described on the page. EU/EEA/Switzerland applicants who fulfil the admission requirements but do not qualify for the Erasmus Mundus scholarship are offered a TW study place.

The EACH programme admission committee creates an individual ranking of applicants for each admission period. Erasmus Mundus scholarships have limited numbers and are allocated to the best-ranked candidates who applied during admission period 1. Applicants applying during admission period 2 are considered only for tuition waiver study places or fee-based study places.

Erasmus Mundus scholarship payments are made during the study period, including to students in their country of residence, if they are enrolled as full-time students. The page also lists general rules that limit additional Erasmus Mundus Master Course scholarships and limit receiving another EU grant during the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters programme.

• Students are eligible for Erasmus Mundus scholarships from all over the world, with geographical balance applied.
• Applicants must be considered by the EACH programme admission committee for their admission period ranking.
• Applicants who have already obtained an Erasmus Mundus Master Course scholarship are not eligible to apply for any additional scholarships under the Erasmus+ scheme.
• Students benefiting from an Erasmus Mundus scholarship cannot benefit from another EU grant while pursuing their studies in an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters programme.
• All EU/EEA/Switzerland applicants who fulfil the admission requirements, but do not qualify for the Erasmus Mundus scholarship, are offered a tuition waiver (TW) study place.

1. Apply for the EACH programme for the intake described on the page.
2. If the application is submitted during admission period 1, it is considered for the Erasmus Mundus scholarship, a tuition waiver study place, or a fee-based study place.
3. If the application is submitted during admission period 2, it is considered only for tuition waiver study places or fee-based study places.
4. Wait for the admission committee’s individual ranking for the relevant admission period; Erasmus Mundus scholarships are then allocated to best-ranked candidates within the limited number available.
5. If awarded a fee-based study place, pay the tuition fee for the first semester once you arrive in Tartu, following the fee contract requirements.
