Bachelor of Laws

Deutsch-Ordens Fachhochschule Riedlingen, Hochschule für Wirtschaft offers the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.). The degree prepares graduates for work as a Wirtschaftsjurist or Rechtsberater in banks, legal departments of companies and organizations, or law firms. The program is also presented as an alternative to classic law studies, with Bachelor-level achievements recognized for further studies in law.

The Bachelor of Laws is taught through a regular study structure that includes a basic study phase followed by a main study phase, which often includes specialization. The regular study time is stated as six semesters, while the Bachelor of Laws is usually seven to eight semesters. The program may include internships in the country or abroad and includes topics such as legal basics, economic basics, contract drafting, and communication topics like negotiation and conflict resolution.

For admission to a study program awarding the Bachelor of Laws, “in der Regel die allgemeine Hochschulreife erforderlich.” Further criteria are set by each higher education institution.
