The Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) at Universität Osnabrück is Wirtschaftsrecht (Business Law). The programme connects a broad legal foundation with practice-oriented study of economic law, starting with foundations in civil law, public law, and business studies. Module content includes areas such as BGB (general part and contract law), state law basics, business accounting, and related areas like European law and financial economics.
Teaching is delivered in German, with part of the instruction in English. The standard study length is 6 semesters. From the 5th semester, students specialise in one of the three profile areas: Steuern, Arbeit und Personal, or Unternehmen und Banken. The study plan also includes a four-week internship and assessments such as written exams, housework, and a simulation/short presentation, plus a Bachelor thesis and an oral presentation.
Universität Osnabrück states that graduates can work in legal and business consulting roles, including tax advisory and business auditing. After practical experience, graduates may take the tax adviser or business auditing examination and become self-employed.
