TU Dresden DAAD-BIDS Scholarship (€5,400 Funding in Germany)

Technische Universität Dresden offers the DAAD-funded BIDS scholarship as part of the BIDS program. It is for the first year of studies at TU Dresden and provides financial support in Germany for 12 months.

The scholarship is for graduates of German schools abroad (DAS/DSD/DPS schools) in Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. It supports applications for an undergraduate degree program (Bachelor’s, Diplom or State Examination) at TU Dresden, with preference for STEM disciplines with open admission, while other degree programs are also eligible for funding.

Selection is based on the information provided in the letter of motivation regarding gender, ethnic and social background, family educational background, or health impairments, as TU Dresden states that this information will be taken into account during the selection process.

Support lasts for 12 months, with payment stated as €450 per month from October until September. To receive the scholarship, applicants must have been admitted to TU Dresden for an undergraduate degree program, and TU Dresden states the applicant need not yet be admitted at the time of application.
