Master of Business Administration

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Vellore Institute of Technology is a two-year, four-semester postgraduate programme offered by VIT Business School. Students study discipline core and discipline elective credits, complete a mandatory 12-week Summer Industry Internship after the first year, and complete a fourth-semester Capstone Project with an Indian MSME.

The MBA includes a total Graded Credit Requirement of 96 credits: 60 Discipline Core credits, 30 Discipline Elective credits, and 6 credits for the mandatory Summer Internship. Students choose from five elective tracks: Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Operations, and cross-functional Analytics. The programme is offered across VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai, VIT-AP, and VIT-Bhopal.

A minimum of 60% marks or First Class is required in Classes 10, 12/Diploma and in any undergraduate degree from a recognized University or Institution.

• The Bachelor's degree must be of at least three years’ duration following higher secondary education (10+2 & 3 / 4 / 5 year) or its equivalent.
• Candidates appearing for their final year undergraduate examination in 2026, with results expected on or before 14th August 2026, are also eligible to apply.
• Candidates must either appear for the VIT Business School Entrance Examination (VITBEE 2026) or submit a valid scorecard of CAT / XAT / MAT.
• A 10% relaxation in UG degree eligibility is provided for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories and those from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and the North Eastern states (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura).

Selection process includes evaluation of academic performance in the undergraduate degree, performance in either VITBEE 2026 or the best valid score of CAT / XAT / MAT, a Personal Interview, and work experience is considered an added advantage.
