Background About the Internship Programme:
The intern will be an integral part of the Human Resources team at the UNEP FI Secretariat. Their main responsibilities involve supporting the Administrative Team in various HR-related tasks. This includes promoting best practices, implementing creative solutions, and enhancing information exchange through the Online ‘Administrative Hub.’ The intern will focus on HR issues related to consultants, interns, individual contractors, and staff.
The role encompasses designing and maintaining communication channels using the Admin Hub Web Platform. This involves creating “Welcome Packages” and regular communication briefs to facilitate effective interaction within the broader team. The intern will play a crucial role in streamlining communication and maintaining a cohesive work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Video Editing and Graphic Design:
- Work on video editing tasks.
- Provide assistance in graphic design, ensuring high-quality digital and print content.
- HR-Related Content Editing: Assist with the editing and design of Human Resources content, covering web, digital, and other targeted communications.
- Webinar and Training Support: Contribute to the graphic design of webinars and training materials related to HR and travel issues.
- Tool Rollout and Guidelines Development:
- Assist with the rollout of new tools.
- Contribute to the development of best practice guidelines within the HR domain.

Eligibility Criteria:
Education: Applicants must, at the time of application, meet one of the following requirements:
- Be enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
- Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent).
- Have graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one-year period of graduation.
Final year undergraduate or master’s degree students in graphic arts, design, IT, or a related field, or those with equivalent professional experience, are eligible to apply.
Experience: Applicants are not required to have professional work experience, but a field of study closely related to the internship is necessary. Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s, or Ph.D. program or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. program.
Languages: Fluency in oral and written English is required, and knowledge of another UN language is desirable.
