Bachelor of Education Arts

The Bachelor of Education Arts degree prepares students for teaching and leadership roles in preschool, primary, secondary schools, colleges, and universities. Students select two teaching subjects from combinations approved by the Teachers Service Commission, such as Geography/CRE, History/CRE, or English/Literature. The program emphasizes Christian values and aims to equip learners with knowledge, skills, attitudes, technology, and understanding for educational roles. Students planning to teach English must take Literature in English, and those planning to teach Kiswahili are advised to take a second teaching subject in Religion, History, or Geography.

Pass KCSE with a minimum mean grade of C+ or have an advanced level certificate with two principal passes and division II at O-level or a diploma in education from a government recognized institution with a mean grade of C+ at KCSE or have done a diploma as a bridging course. Students must pursue two teaching subjects selected from courses passed at secondary school level with a minimum grade of C+.
