The Bachelor of Mass Communication program prepares students to participate effectively in the mass media sector. It equips them with skills in mass communication that are socially relevant, market-driven, and sensitive to global trends. Students study the societal role of communication through various media, applying theoretical and practical aspects. The course covers communication across settings such as church, corporate, and community, addressing individual and organizational challenges. The program also covers the full scope of mass media including newspapers, radio, television, and digital platforms, and develops skills in news writing, reporting, editing, and graphics.
Overall Grade of C+ in KCSE and B- in English, or 2 principals & a Subsidiary (A’level), or Minimum GPA of 2.3 from Diploma, or Credit pass at Diploma level. Exemptions awarded to applicants with a minimum GPA of 2.7.
