Bachelor of Education Early Childhood Education Honours

The Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) (Honours) at University Tun Abdul Razak is designed to prepare educators to work with young learners using professional knowledge, skills, and innovative ideas. Students develop a scholarly approach to early childhood education and build expertise for teaching and working with young children.

The programme requires 120 credit hours completed within 3 years. It includes MPU courses, Common Cores, Discipline courses, and Electives, plus Industrial Training case studies through Teaching Practicum TADIKA and Teaching Practicum TASKA. Study can be taken in Conventional On Campus or Open Distance Learning (ODL).

• STPM: A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.0) in any two subjects or its equivalent; OR
• STAM: A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Jayyid; OR
• MATRICULATION: • A pass in Matriculation/Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.0 or its equivalent; OR
• Diploma: • A Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in ECE with at least a CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00; OR • A Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in the relevant fields with at least a CGPA of 2.00 out of 4:00;
• DKM: • A Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)/Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM)** in ECE subject to the HEP Senate/Academic Board’s approval. HEPs are required to conduct screening and provide relevant bridging courses; OR
• OTHER: • Other relevant or equivalent qualifications, experience and requirements accepted by the UNIRAZAK’s Senate/ competent authority in Malaysia. • Possess an Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL A) for admission.

• A minimum score of Band 5.0 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)*; OR • A minimum score of 40 for an Internet-Based Total (iBFT) for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)*; OR A minimum score of 7.5 for TOEFL Essentials (online); OR • A minimum score of High B1 (154) in Linguaskill Test; OR • A minimum score of 47 in the Pearson Test of English (PTE); OR • A minimum score of High B1 (154) in Cambridge English Qualifications and Tests; OR • A minimum score of Band 3.5 on the Malaysian University English Test (MUET); OR • Successful attainment of High B1 (154) in CEFR-aligned exams by Cambridge English Qualification conducted by the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE)
