Bachelor of Education Honours in Teaching English As a Second Language Tesl

The Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) at Perdana University is designed to equip future educators with broad and specialised understanding of English language teaching. The programme focuses on educational theory, linguistic principles, and pedagogical skills, and prepares students to teach English in international, regional, and national contexts.

The curriculum includes Foundations of Literacy, TESL Methodology, and Research Methodology, along with teaching-focused modules such as Technology in Education, Language Testing and Assessment, and Skills for Success. It also includes Teaching Practicum and a Final Year Project. The programme is delivered On Campus and has an intake in January and July, with a duration of 4 Years.

STPM: A pass in STPM with a minimum Grade C (GPA 2.00) in any two subjects.

OR

STAM: A pass in STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid.

OR

Matriculation/Foundation: A pass in Matriculation or Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.00.

OR

Diploma: A Diploma with a minimum CGPA of 2.00.

OR

Other Qualifications: Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.

OR

APEL.A: This programme is open to applicants through Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL.A).

Local Students: A minimum of MUET Band 3.

International Students: TOEFL score of at least 550, IELTS Band 6.0 or an equivalent qualification.
