Bachelor of Information Technology Honours

The Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours) at University Tun Abdul Razak is an IT degree built around theoretical foundations and hands-on practical experience. Students study core courses including Information Technology Fundamentals, Human Computer Interaction, Information Security, Web Systems and Technologies, Databases, Fundamentals of Programming, Networking Fundamentals, and Systems Analysis & Design. The program also includes MPU courses and electives, plus a specialization pathway.

Students complete a total of 123 credit hours within 3 years. The study mode is Conventional On Campus or Open Distance Learning (ODL). The program includes a Final Project with a Minor Project and Major Project, and Industrial Training with Internship I for Information Technology and Internship II for Information Technology.

• STPM: A pass in STPM with a minimum Grade of C (GP 2.00) in any TWO (2) subjects; OR
• A pass in STAM with a minimum Grade of Jayyid in any TWO (2) subjects; OR
• A pass in Matriculation or Foundation studies with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR
• Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in Non-Computing with a minimum CGPA of 2.75.
• Candidateswith a CGPA below 2.75 but more than 2.50 can be admitted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment;
• AND a credit in: Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent; OR
• Candidates with a pass in Mathematics at SPM level need to take and pass the reinforcement Mathematics subject that equivalent to the SPM level. The reinforcement Mathematics subject must be offered in first semester or before enrolment with unconditional offer.
• OR Diploma in Computing fields (Level 4, MQF) or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50. Candidates with a CGPA below 2.50 but more than 2.00 may be admitted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment;
• OR Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) in Computing fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 subjected to UNIRAZAK’s Senate; OR
• OR Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) in Computing fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 subjected to UNIRAZAK’s Senate; OR
• OR Other relevant and equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government. (Candidates can be admitted if their admission qualification contains Mathematics subject (s) equivalent to Mathematics at the SPM level. If it is not equivalent, the reinforcement Mathematics subject equivalent to the SPM level must be offered in first semester or before enrolment with unconditional offer).

Notes: Students are required to pass the reinforcement Mathematics before being allowed to take related core courses. Possess an Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL A) for admission.

• A minimum score of Band 5.0 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)*; OR
• A minimum score of 40 for an Internet-Based Total (iBFT) for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)*; OR
• A minimum score of 7.5 for TOEFL Essentials (online); OR
• A minimum score of 47 in the Pearson Test of English (PTE); OR
• High B1 (154) in Cambridge English Qualifications and Tests; OR
• Band 3.5 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET); OR
• Successful attainment of High B1 (154) in CEFR-aligned exams by Cambridge English Qualification conducted by the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE).

The conditional offer letter will be issued to an international student who has not met the English Proficiency Requirement.
