Bachelor of Science Honours Information Technology Open and Distance Learning

The Bachelor of Science (Honours) Information Technology (Open and Distance Learning) is a 100% online programme that equips students with technologies and skills for the Digital Economy. It covers information systems, computer programming, web and mobile applications, databases, project management, software engineering, data science, computer network, communication technologies, cybersecurity, AI, and IoT.

Learning is supported through online classes, recorded lectures, course material, and e-books delivered through a Virtual Learning Environment. The course has a minimum duration of 20 months and includes 30% of face-to-face learning with six sessions at MUST campus in Kota Damansara, each lasting four days. Students can study full time or part time, with intakes in April / May.

Academic Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 as accepted by the HEP Senate; OR
• Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 but below 2.50, subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR
• Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and relevant working experience, subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR
• Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and without relevant working experience, subject to passing pre-requisite courses; OR
• A Pass at Level 7 Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) assessment by MQA; OR
• Other equivalent/related qualifications to a Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) recognised by the Malaysian Government.
