Diploma in Accountancy

The Diploma in Accountancy at Universiti Industri Selangor provides foundational and intermediate knowledge in accounting principles, financial management, and business practices. The programme emphasises core accounting principles, including financial accounting, management accounting, taxation, and auditing practices, with business law, economics, and financial management courses.

Students also develop technological proficiency through training in accounting software and digital tools used for bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial analysis. The programme lasts 2 ½ years and uses academic advising, peer mentoring, and career services such as resume writing, job search strategies, and interview support.

Modules

• Core Accounting Principles: financial accounting, management accounting, taxation, and auditing practices
• Business law, economics, and financial management courses
• Accounting software and digital tools for bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial analysis

Pass Malaysian Certificate of Education (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia – SPM) or equivalent with a minimum of 3 credits, including Mathematics, and pass English; OR

Pass a Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) or equivalent, with a minimum of Grade C (NGMP 2.0) in any subject, with credit in Mathematics and pass English at SPM level; OR

Pass a Malaysia Higher Religious Certificate (Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia - STAM) with a minimum of Maqbul (pass) and credit in Mathematics and pass English at SPM level; OR

Pass a Level 3 SKM in the relevant field and pass a Malaysian Certificate of Education (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia – SPM) with a minimum of 1 credit in any subject with credit in Mathematics and English pass; OR

Certificate or its equivalent in the relevant field
