Diploma in Photography Technology

The Diploma in Photography Technology at Universiti Industri Selangor is a comprehensive program that combines technical expertise and creative skills for photography and visual storytelling. Students study digital photography, photo editing, studio lighting, and visual composition, with a curriculum that bridges traditional photography techniques and modern technology.

Learning is organised around practical training through hands-on projects, internships, and industry-driven collaborations. The program includes studio photography, outdoor shoots, and image post-processing, and it covers photography techniques, digital imaging, photo editing, and multimedia production.

After graduation, students can pursue roles such as commercial photography and photojournalism, and they can also prepare for advanced studies or specialisation in areas such as videography or multimedia production.

• A pass in SPM with a minimum of three (3) credits in any subject, or its equivalent; or
• A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in any subject, or its equivalent; or
• A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul in any subject, or its equivalent; or
• A pass in SKM Level 3 / Sijil Vokasional Malaysia (SVM) in a suitable field (Note: The HEPs are to conduct screening and provide a specific guidance for the respective discipline of the program); or
• A Certificate (Level 3, MQF) in a related field with minimum CGPA of 2.00 or its equivalent; or
• Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.
• Note: Candidate must pass an interview OR submission of portfolio as required by the HEPs.
• International students are required to achieve a minimum score of Band 2 in MUET OR its equivalent.
