Doctor of Business Administration

The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) at University Tun Abdul Razak is a professional doctoral program for experienced executives, senior managers, and professionals aiming to enhance expertise and lead strategic change. Students develop analytical, leadership, and strategic decision-making skills through advanced coursework and rigorous research.

The DBA requires 80 credit hours and is offered in flexible study modes. Conventional full-time study and open distance learning full-time study are both listed as 3 years, while conventional part-time and open distance learning part-time are both listed as 4 years. Learning includes lectures, tutorials, and dissertation supervision, and the program includes common core courses and a dissertation sequence.

• A Master's Degree (Level 7, Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF)) in a related field as accepted by the UNIRAZAK Senate; OR
• A Master's Degree (Level 7, MQF) in a non-related field as accepted by the UNIRAZAK Senate, subject to having relevant working experience* and passing a rigorous internal assessment**; OR
• A Master's Degree (Level 7, MQF) in a non-related field as accepted by the UNIRAZAK Senate, without relevant working experience*, subject to successfully completing the required pre-requisite courses***; OR
• Other qualifications equivalent to a Master's Degree (Level 7, MQF) recognised by the Malaysian Government.
• International Applicants: Achieve a minimum of Band 4 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET), or an equivalent qualification at the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) – Mid B2.

Notes: * Relevant working experience may be accumulated before obtaining the required qualification for the particular level of study. However, the experience must be relevant to both the programme level and its content. ** Rigorous internal assessment will be conducted to evaluate the suitability of the applicant.
