Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science Odl

The Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science at Perdana University is a PhD offered through Open and Distance Learning (ODL). Students study Research Methods for Computer Science and Quantitative Analysis, alongside research areas that include Artificial Intelligence (AI), Computer-Human Interface (HCI), Software Engineering, Data Science and Analytics, Computer Networks and Security, Distributed Systems & Cloud, Algorithms and Optimization, Computational Biology, Graphics and Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and Machine Learning.

The program has a duration of 3 years and is delivered in an ODL mode with intake months of Jan, Mar, June, Aug, and Oct. It is designed around original research, including independent research projects, to support advanced research and research-focused communication such as writing research papers and presenting at international conferences.

• A Master's Degree (Level 7, MQF) in the field of Computing or related fields as accepted by Perdana University Senate; OR
• A Master's Degree (Level 7, MQF) in non-Computing fields with a minimum of FIVE (5) years of working experience in the field must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses; OR
• A Master's Degree (Level 7, MQF) in non-Computing fields with less than 5 years of experience must undergo prerequisite courses and subject to rigorous internal assessment.
• Other qualifications equivalent to a Master's Degree in Computing recognised by the Government of Malaysia.
