Master of Education

The Master of Education (MEd) at Brickfields Asia College is a postgraduate programme for educators, administrators, policymakers, and aspiring change-makers. Students study Educational Psychology, Curriculum Development, Learning and Cognition, Models and Strategies of Teaching, Instructional Technology, Measurement and Evaluation in Education, and both Qualitative Research Methodology and Quantitative Research Methodology, followed by a Masters Project.

Learning is delivered online through live sessions on Zoom on two Saturdays per course, totaling 12 hours. Attendance is not mandatory because all lectures are recorded and uploaded to the LMS for later access. Assessment includes formative and summative evaluations, with most courses allocating 60% to assignments and 40% to the final exam, while some courses are entirely assignment-based (100% coursework).

The programme supports specialisation through one chosen area of concentration: Educational Leadership, Learning Sciences and Technologies, and related concentration options. It prepares graduates for roles such as School Principal / Head of Department, Curriculum Specialist, Corporate Learning & Development Manager, Educational Policy Analyst, Academic Coordinator, and Educational Consultant.

• A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 as accepted by the Senate; or
• A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, and not meeting CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to an internal assessment; or
• A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of five (5) years working experience in a relevant field
