Master of Education

The Master of Education at University Tun Abdul Razak is designed to build professional knowledge, skills, and attributes for work as an educator or for studying toward academic scholarship. The programme develops education theories and practices, with a focus on applying scientific methods to identify problems and propose solutions, alongside skills for interpersonal relations, teamwork, and writing academic research.

Students study core courses including Philosophical and Sociological Foundations of Education, Research Methodology, Educational Psychology, Curriculum Instruction and Assessment in Education, and complete research-focused modules: Research Paper and three dissertations (Dissertation 1, Dissertation 2, Dissertation 3). The blended learning mode uses workplace or on-site learning strategies and digital technologies, and it is flexible so learners can continue working while they study. Delivery is described as conventional and open distance learning.

Bachelor's Degree

• A pass with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the University Senate; or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 2 years working experience in relevant field; or equivalent not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in relevant field.

APEL

• Minimum 30 years of age with STPM/Diploma/A-Level/equivalent and relevant work experience.
