The Master of Engineering in Aeronautics and Astronautics is delivered through a 2+2 pathway. Students complete the integrated programme by studying the first part at the University of Southampton Malaysia and then progressing to the University of Southampton UK for the remaining part. The curriculum develops a foundation in aerospace design, materials, structures, and dynamics, then moves into aerodynamics and spacecraft engineering.
Teaching progresses from fundamental aerospace engineering principles into specialist areas. Core studies include Data Science and Computational Methods, Aerospace Design, Aerospace Materials, Statics and Dynamics, Thermofluids for Aerospace Engineers, and Aerospace Electronics, followed by Advanced Aerospace Systems Design, Digital Aerospace Methods, Aerodynamics, Astronautics, Aerospace Structures, Propulsion, and Aerospace Mechanics and Control. Students complete an Individual Project and a Group Design Project, alongside general studies modules required by Malaysia’s Ministry of Higher Education.
