Master of Science Public Health

The Master of Science (Public Health) at Perdana University is designed for full-time students and working adults in the business, private, and public sector organisations. The curriculum covers foundations of family and public health, biostatistics, health promotion and behaviour change, basic epidemiology, environmental and occupational health, health policy and management, and research methods. Students complete modules including research proposal development, research report writing, and a range of core topics connected to public health leadership.

The programme is offered as full-time and part-time study. It runs for a duration of 1.5 years full-time and 2 years part-time. Entry is available for intakes in January, June, and September. The programme includes core modules plus elective modules. It also supports applicants through APEL.A, including those with prior experiential learning, subject to the application process.

• A Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF) in Health or Science or related fields with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.50 or its equivalent, as accepted by the Perdana University Senate;
• OR A Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) in Health or Science or related fields or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.0 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment.
• iii. Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or working experience in the relevant fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by PU and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i) and (ii).
• Note : The minimum language proficiency of candidates must be determined by PU consistent with applicable programme standards or based on the needs of the programme i.e. learning outcomes and the medium of instruction.
