Bachelor of Education Educational Librarianship

The Bachelor of Education in Educational Librarianship trains students for roles as educational librarians, combining skills in librarianship and education. Students learn to support literacy development, manage information resources for children, and improve teaching and learning in modern environments. They study educational theories such as psychology, learning theories, and teaching methods, enabling them to develop lessons and reading programs for primary-aged students. The course covers both theoretical and practical elements, including teaching practicum, and it is delivered over three years with 15 weeks per semester across two semesters each year. The program is offered at both the Main Campus and Virtual Campus with quarterly intakes.

• 2 passes at GCE advanced level OR
• Completion of the Mandhu College Foundation for Degree Studies Programme OR
• Attainment of a level 4 qualification in a relevant field

• Diploma or other level 5 qualification grants entry into second year OR
• Associate Degree or other level 6 qualification grants entry into third year
