Bachelor in Craft Design

Bachelor of Craft and Design is a four-year experiential-learning undergraduate program for craft practitioners, designers, and creative individuals. It covers practical, historical, and philosophical knowledge in crafts and design and their intersections with art, technology, business, and culture. The course addresses tradition, innovation, form, function, social and ethical issues, sustainability, and climate challenges. Students engage with materials like metal, wood, jewellery, stone, ceramics, textiles, and digital fabrication through tutored courses, independent projects, apprenticeships, and on-the-job training. The program emphasizes skills development in various craft and design disciplines, including furniture, fashion, product, and interior design. Students also learn industry technologies such as 3D modeling software and computer-controlled machinery, and gain experience in promotion, portfolio building, and networking. Elective courses allow specialization and interdisciplinary skill development.
