The University of Amsterdam (UvA) offers Amsterdam Merit Scholarships (AMS) to attract outstanding students to its international classrooms. UvA states that outstanding students from outside the EU/EEA can apply for an AMS.

AMS eligibility applies to students who hold a non-EU/EEA passport and have applied for a degree programme at the University of Amsterdam. UvA lists the available programmes/fields as Child Development and Education, Communication Science, Economics and Business, Humanities, Law, Medicine, Psychology, Science, and Social Sciences.

Applications are submitted to the Admissions Offices of the Graduate Schools.
