University of Twente Netherlands Scholarships

The University Twente Scholarship (UTS) is a scholarship for excellent students from non-EU/EER countries applying for a graduate programme (MSc) at the University of Twente. UTS provides € 3,000 to € 22,000 for one year and is meant as compensation for study-related costs. The scholarship student decides how to spend the money, and no costs (for example tuition fees) are paid on the student’s behalf.

The UTS is aimed at non-EU/EER students applying for an MSc at the University of Twente. For a two-year study programme, students can receive an additional UTS amount equal to the first year to cover the second year expenses. The scholarship will only be continued during the second year when students meet the process requirements for the UTS. The page specifies that students must have obtained an average grade of 7 (out of 10) at the end of the third quartile of the first year, and at least 50% of European Credits at the end of the third quartile of the first year.

The UTS value is stated as € 3,000 to € 22,000 for one year. For two-year study programmes, the additional UTS for the second year is equal to the amount in the first year, subject to meeting the process requirements for the UTS. An additional Kipaji Scholarship can be awarded to UTS recipients for programmes starting in September, and eligibility depends on applying for the UTS first.
