Master of Science in Agriculture Horticulture

The Master of Science in Agriculture (Horticulture) at Hazara University is a postgraduate program focused on improving the production, quality, and sustainability of horticultural crops. Students develop advanced knowledge in the physiology, genetics, and management of fruit, vegetable, and ornamental crops. The program also builds technical competence in nursery management, greenhouse technology, post-harvest handling, and value addition.

Learning is delivered through classroom and lab work. The course runs for 2 years across 4 semesters, with approx. 34 credit hours. The training includes modern horticultural research techniques such as protected cultivation, tissue culture, and precision horticulture. Graduates are prepared for leadership roles in research, production, education, and agribusiness, and for further study including PhD programs in Horticulture and related fields.
