Rules Semester Mphil

The MS/MPhil program rules cover thesis submission and defense under the semester system. A candidate who has secured CGPA 2.5 at least will be allowed to take Research and pursue thesis submission, but the candidate must score CGPA 2.5 for obtaining the degree.

Thesis defense involves a panel of three examiners proposed by the supervisor or chairperson and an examiner appointed by the Vice Chancellor for evaluation. The candidate submits three tape-bound copies to the Director Advance Studies, who forwards them for an external examiner. After successful examination, the candidate submits at least three hard-bound copies for the department, the main library, and the supervisor.

A candidate who has secured CGPA 2.5 at least will be allowed to take Research and pursue for the thesis submission but he/she must score CGPA 2.5 for obtaining the degree.

• If a student fails to achieve CGPA 2.5 on the completion of course work, he/she has to improve courses of lowest grades within maximum credit hours limit to achieve desired CGPA level.
