Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education

The Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education at the University of San Agustin is a field of specialization focused on clarifying conceptual foundations of value-laden creative expressions such as visual arts, music, drama, and dance; defining their relations to other disciplines; and developing programs responsive to local and global contexts of production, circulation, and consumption of creative expressions.

Study is full-time and campus based/online/blended. The program is organized into General Education Courses (36 units), Professional Education Courses (42 units), Specialization Courses (66 units), Elective Courses (3 units), Art Apprenticeship (6 units), Mandated Courses such as PATHFIT and NSTP (14 units), and an Institutional Course (12 units), for a total of 179 units. The curriculum includes required subjects across multiple semesters and a Teaching Internship and Field Studies in the final year.

In addition to the University general admission requirements (Certificate of Good Moral Character, Birth Certificate /PSA Document, Marriage Contract for married female students, two pieces 2x2 picture), applicants to the Education Programs must meet the following requirements.

• Admission Requirements for Incoming First Year Students: Form 138 (High School Report Card) with an average grade of at least Eighty Percent (80%) as indicated in the Form 138; Admission Exam (OASIS); Interview with the Dean/Academic Supervisor/Evaluation Committee.
• Admission Requirements for Transferees: Honorable Dismissal from School Last Attended; Transcript of Records; Certificate of Good Moral Character; Interview with the Dean/ Head/Evaluation Committee.
