Bachelor of Elementary Education

The Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) is an undergraduate teacher education degree designed to prepare individuals intending to teach in the elementary level. The program focuses on elementary education content and pedagogy, with outcomes covering learner diversity, pedagogical content knowledge across subject areas, assessment and evaluation tools, communication and higher order thinking, and the use of tools and technology to support learning and teaching.

Study is full-time and campus based. The program has a structure that includes curriculum course specifications. Students follow a program duration of four academic years.

Admission to Education Programs requires compliance with the university general admission requirements (Certificate of Good Moral Character; Birth Certificate/PSA Document; Marriage Contract for married female students; two pieces 2x2 picture) and additional Education Program requirements.

• Incoming First Year Students: Form 138 (High School Report Card) with an average grade of at least Eighty Percent (80%); Admission Exam (OASIS); Interview with the Dean/Academic Supervisor/Evaluation Committee.
• Transferees: Honorable Dismissal from School Last Attended; Transcript of Records; Certificate of Good Moral Character; Interview with the Dean/ Head/Evaluation Committee.
