Bachelor of Science in Chemistry

Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at the University of Santo Tomas is a four-year program offered by the College of Science, Department of Chemistry. It builds a background in inorganic, organic, physical, biological, and analytical chemistry, with relevant concepts in mathematics and physics, and prepares students to apply chemistry to identify and solve problems.

Students gather data using standard laboratory equipment, modern instrumentation, and classical techniques in the chemical sciences. The program emphasizes individual and group activities in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams, data interpretation and scientific and ethical judgment, and inquiry-based practice in chemistry. It also includes communication of chemical concepts and research outputs through written and oral methods using English and Filipino languages.
