The Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of San Agustin is designed to help students apply knowledge of mathematics and science to solve civil engineering problems. It also emphasizes experiment design, data analysis, and system, component, or process design within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability. Students learn to identify, formulate, and solve civil engineering problems and to function in multidisciplinary teams.
The program is full-time and campus based, with a duration of five academic years. Students develop skills in effective communication with the engineering community and society, understand the impact of civil engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts, and recognize the need for life-long learning. The outcomes also include contemporary issues, the use of modern engineering tools, engineering and management principles in team leadership, specialization in at least one civil engineering field, and understanding Augustinian values related to their profession.
