The Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of San Agustin trains students to use knowledge of mathematics and sciences in experiments and in collecting data to solve complex mechanical engineering problems. Students also work on designing systems, components, or processes within realistic constraints and on identifying, formulating, and solving complex problems across thermodynamics, mechanics, kinematics, heat transfer, refrigeration, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, combustion, and machine design.
Study is full-time and campus based for five academic years. The program emphasizes teamwork in multidisciplinary and multi-cultural groups, professional and ethical responsibility in accredited student organizations, religious, or civic-oriented organizations, and the use of techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools for mechanical engineering practice. It also requires familiarity with at least one specialized field of mechanical engineering practice and the application of Augustinian values.
