Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Filipino

The Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Filipino at the University of San Agustin is an undergraduate teacher education program for teaching in the secondary level. It is designed to equip learners with competencies in Filipino content and pedagogy for secondary education.

Study is full-time and campus based. The program totals 173 units across general education courses (36 units), professional education courses (42 units), major courses (63 units), electives (6 units), mandated courses (PATHFIT & NSTP) (14 units), and an institutional course (12 units). Admission is for incoming first year students or transferees with specified documents, an admission exam (OASIS), and an interview.

General admission requirements (University): Certificate of Good Moral Character; Birth Certificate / PSA Document; Marriage Contract for married female students; two pieces 2x2 picture.

Admission Requirements for Incoming First Year Students:

• Form 138 (High School Report Card) with an average grade of at least Eighty Percent (80%) as indicated in the Form 138.
• Admission Exam (OASIS).
• Interview with the Dean/Academic Supervisor/Evaluation Committee.

Admission Requirements for Transferees:

• Honorable Dismissal from School Last Attended.
• Transcript of Records.
• Certificate of Good Moral Character.
• Interview with the Dean/Head/Evaluation Committee.
